The Horse Whisperer's puppy, Mia, is sick. We just got back from the vet, and she has parvo. We left her there in the hospital for treatment, and should know by Wednesday if she will pull through. Poor baby, we just thought she was too lethargic for a pup of her breed and age, so we took her in this morning. We are hopeful because we caught it before it turned into vomiting, diarrhea, and dehydration.
I'm off to call all the neighbors and let them know we had parvo here. *sigh* Pray for Mia if you get a minute!

Hey Gina,
We just saved our dog Max and did the treatments at home and all... We will say a prayer for her and know this, the area down here is one of the highest areas for parvo. It is in the dirt and the only way to combat it is to make sure they have their shots immediately!! Poor Mia, we will be praying, please keep us posted.
Love,
Windy
I'll be praying for Mia and for your family. I know how sad having a sick pet is for everyone.
Thanks for praying, guys.
I'm going to call the vet later and see how she is doing. He was quite confident that she would be okay. I hope this doesn't make her sickly her whole life. Aisa was so hoping for a dog that would follow her around when she's out riding the horse. Plus, she is supposed to be Aisa's truck dog when she becomes a large animal vet and has to drive around to see her patients. She will be rather elderly by then, though. *grins*
*edited to clarify- MIA will be rather elderly, not Aisa!
Hope Mia is feeling better! It's always sad when a beloved pet isn't well. Our best-dog-ever is chronically ill, so I know that it can be stressful. They are part of the family.
Bless
Hope she is getting better now.
